Maximize the Value of Sharing POS and Supply-Chain Data with Suppliers
Retailers have attempted to improve collaboration with suppliers by providing them with POS and supply-chain data through portals, EDI, and reports from their buying offices. These approaches however have proven to be costly, resource intensive, and prone to data integrity issues. And, since each retailer uses a unique process, suppliers spend more time collecting and managing the data than they do analyzing it to identify opportunities for increasing sales and reducing costs.
Dick’s Sporting Goods will present how they have overcome these reporting challenges and how they are now able to effectively collaborate with suppliers to reduce stock outs, localize product assortments, and optimize promotions. They will discuss specific reporting methods and best practices for tapping the analytical expertise and product knowledge of their suppliers. |
