John Brandt
Chief Executive Officer, MPI Group
John Brandt offers world-class research-driven advice on improving performance and competing more effectively, in manufacturing, management and marketing. As a business leader himself, has proved his ability to turn organizations around and deliver stellar performance. He is CEO of the MPI Group and former editor in chief of IndustryWeek and Chief Executive magazines.
Under his leadership as Publisher and Editor-In-Chief of IndustryWeek, the magazine won more than 70 editorial awards for excellence and more than doubled its revenues, putting it solidly in the black for the first time in more than a decade. He launched an award-winning and profitable web venture that serves senior executives around the globe. He also led the development of several pioneering, large-scale research efforts, including the IndustryWeek Census of Manufacturers, the IW Value Chain Survey, the World-Class Communities Project, the IndustryWeek 1000, and the World’s Best Managed Companies Program. He continues to write an award-winning column for IndustryWeek.

Didier Chenneveau
Chief Supply Chain Officer, LG Electronics
As EVP and Chief Supply Chain Officer for LG Electronics, Didier has worldwide responsibility for Global Supply Chain Management for the Company. He is based in Seoul, Korea.
Prior to joining LG in 2008, Didier was VP of Americas Operations for HP’s Imaging and Printing Business. He was based in San Diego, USA. He also worked in Europe running the HP’s Consumer PC Business and in various managerial Financial and Operations roles. Prior to joining HP, Didier worked for Caterpillar.
Didier is a Board Member of EPCglobal.
Didier Chenneveau is a native of France and citizen of Switzerland, and Alumni from EM-Lyon and INSEAD.
Joseph M. (Joe) Pleasant, Jr., FHIMSS
Chief Information Officer, Premier, Inc.
Joseph M. (Joe) Pleasant is CIO and Senior Vice President of Premier, Inc., the largest healthcare alliance in the United States, with an estimated annual purchasing volume in excess of $31 billion and more than 200 Healthcare systems that own or operate some 850 institutions. Premier also has affiliations with another 900 hospitals.
Prior to being appointed to his current position as CIO and Senior Vice President in charge of Premier’s Information Systems, Mr. Pleasant served as Chief Administrative Officer of SunHealth, Inc., one of Premier’s predecessor organizations
In his current position as CIO, Mr. Pleasant oversees Premier’s information systems infrastructure that includes legacy, enterprise, and web enabled offerings.
Mr. Pleasant is Chairman and a founding member of the Coalition for Healthcare eStandards (CHeS), a fellow member of HIMSS, and a founding member of CHIME. Mr. Pleasant is involved in national efforts to improve the Healthcare supply chain and serves on Board of Directors of both the National Alliance for Healthcare Information Technology (NAHIT) and GS1US and is a member of the Health Industry Distributors Association’s Supply Chain Advisory Council. Mr. Pleasant is past President of the North Carolina Chapter of HIMSS and chaired HIMSS’s 2006 Annual Conference Education Committee. A cum laude graduate of N.C. State University in Engineering, Mr. Pleasant holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina.

Paul Singer
Senior Vice President/Chief Information Officer, SUPERVALU
Paul Singer is senior vice president and chief information officer for SUPERVALU, a position he has held since July of 2006. He is responsible for technology solutions and support across all business areas of the company. In addition, Paul oversees retail technology services for our independent business customers. SUPERVALU is the third largest grocery retailer and the leading U.S. food distributor in the U.S.
Prior to joining SUPERVALU, Paul was the chief information officer at Target where he gained 21 years of experience and held a number of leadership positions. Early in his retail career, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Kmart and May Company.
Paul holds degrees in Theology, History, and Music Education.
As a former board member for Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Auto Identification Lab, Paul helped shape the standards for RFID. Today, he is a member of The Research Board and VICS.
Paul and his wife Teri have five daughters and are deeply committed to raising public awareness of how adoption can provide a safe home and loving family to the 50 million orphans in the world. He is a board member for the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI), a board member for the Joint Council on International Children’s Services (JCICS), and President of the Global Orphan Care Fund.
Dom Giordano
Talk Show Host, CBS Radio Network
For nearly 20 years, Dom Giordano has been one Philadelphia’s most popular and respected talk show hosts. Covering a wide variety of topics and issues, Dom blends his common-sense philosophy with an enjoyable listening style to create a show that’s always informative, entertaining, and thought-provoking. Dom began his unique path to broadcasting as an elementary school and high school teacher in school districts throughout Philadelphia and South Jersey, where he received extensive local and national media coverage for his innovative teaching techniques. He is a regular guest host for Bill O’Reilly’s “Radio Factor” program, which is heard nationally on the CBS Radio Network. In addition to his radio show, Dom serves as a commentator and analyst for MSNBC, Fox News, CNN and Court TV.
In 1995, Dom became the first Philadelphia broadcaster to be named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Talk Show Hosts in America by Talkers Magazine, the leading trade publication of the talk radio industry. Dom has been selected for the national “Top 100” list nine additional times.
Dom graduated from LaSalle University with a degree in education and earned a Masters Degree in Education from Antioch University. He also attended Rutgers University Law School from 1979 to 1982. Dom and his wife Rosemary, also a teacher, reside in Philadelphia with their two sons, Luke and DJ.

Boris Brott
Conductor, Canadian Symphony
Boris Brott is one of the most internationally recognized Canadian conductors, holding major posts as a music director in Canada and the United States. He enjoys an international career as a guest conductor, educator, motivational speaker, and cultural ambassador.
In Canada, Brott has developed no less than six Canadian orchestras: Thunder Bay Symphony, Regina Symphony, Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, CBC Winnipeg, Symphony Nova Scotia, and most notably, the Hamilton Philharmonic, where he was music director from 1969 to 1990. He is the founder of Symphony Nova Scotia, which he served as artistic advisor to from 1984 to 1989.
Internationally, Brott has served as assistant conductor to the New York Philharmonic under Leonard Bernstein, and as music director and conductor for the Royal Ballet, Covent Garden, Northern Sinfonia, and the BBC Welsh Symphony. In addition, he has guest-conducted in Mexico, the United States, South America, Centra America, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Scandinavia, Japan, Korea, Israel, the Netherlands, and performed Bernstein’s Mass for Pope John Paul II at the Vatican.
Brott has won prizes in major international competitions: the Pan American Conductors Prize in Mexico, the Liverpool Conductors Competition in Great Britain, and the Dimitri Mitropoulos International Conductors Competition in New York, where he joined the ranks of Seiji Ozawa and Claudio Abbado as the Gold Medal Winner. In 1987, he was awarded Canada’s highest civic honor, Officer of the Order of Canada. He was awarded an honorary doctorate of law in 1988 at McMaster University, was made a Knight of Malta in 1990, selected as an “International Man of the Year” by the International Biographical Center, in Cambridge, England, in 1992, and was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts of Great Britain in 1996.

Sanjay Sarma, PhD
Chief Technology Officer, OATSystems
Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Sanjay Sarma is an associate professor at MIT. Sarma was one of the founders of the Auto-ID Center at MIT, which developed many of the technical concepts and standards of retail. He also chaired the Auto-ID Research Council consisting of 6 labs worldwide, which he helped set up. Today, the suite of standards developed by the Auto-ID Center, commonly referred to as the EPC, are being used by over a thousand companies on five continents. Sarma serves on the board of EPCglobal, the worldwide standards body he helped create. Between 2004 and 2006, Sarma took a leave of absence from MIT to found a software company called OATSystems. He continues to serve on the board of OAT.
Sarma received his Bachelors from the Indian Institute of Technology, his Masters from Carnegie Mellon University and his PhD from the University of California at Berkeley. In between degrees, Sarma worked at Schlumberger Oilfield Services in Aberdeen, UK. Sarma's Masters thesis was in the area of operations research, and his PhD was in the area of manufacturing automation. His current research projects are in the areas of radio frequency identification, IC packaging, manufacturing, CAD/CAM, machine design, RFID applications, device networking and smart devices. He has over 50 publications in computational geometry, virtual reality, manufacturing, CAD, RFID, security and embedded computing.
Sarma is a recipient of theMIT MacVicar Fellowship, National Science Foundation CAREER Award, the Cecil and Ida Green Career Development Chair at MIT, the Den Hartog Award for Excellence in Teaching, the Keenan Award for innovations in undergraduate education, the New England Business and Technology Award, and the MIT Global Indus Award. He was selected on 2003's Business Week ebiz 25 and Fast Company Magazine's Fast Fifty.
